hull prep for paint and buff>also a great find for teak

Postby thomas » Mon Jun 25, 2007 10:44 pm

first of all, I need advice on sanding/polishing and prepping of the hull of #766. -copper paint below waterline, which needs to be redone, and, I would like to find good advice on bringing the white hull above waterline to "like new" finish (the hull has mold blushes and I've been using a drywall screen to sand in preliminary tests, a little course. Am I right in assuming I can sand fine then buff w/ compound?...for the white hull I don't want to repaint?...also, I've just located a great source for teak, amazing prices, and various sizes available. I'm redoing the floorboards. write me if you are interested. And finally-anyone want to advise on cleaning zepher spars? I'm getting scatching with what I'm using and am not sure how to preserve the anodizing.
