DS 1867, 1869,

Hi Everyone.
Ok this is just curiosity on my part. I have sail # 1868. I was wondering if any one has #1867 or 1869 out there, and if you would be willing to tell me where you are, and a little about the history of your boat. I'm in Columbus OH. I was also wondering if anyone out there knows anything about my boat, who previous owners were, where it was etc. A friend of mine rescued it from a barn in eastern Ohio  but that is all I know about it. A previous owner added stiffening in the past, so I think she was raced before. Also, does anyone out there know where consecutive numbers of their boat are?
Thanks!

DS history

This could be a fun little (big) project. I've often wondered about some of the earlier, 3-digit boats. Were there 2 and 1 digit boats?

I have #568, which as far as I know, grew up in N. Cal. I puchased the boat from Larry Anderson in Fresno. She's in Portland, Or. now. 567, 569--where are you? What's your story?

I acquired mine in the fall of 2002 from a friend in Kenton Manitoba who bought it at auction, several years prior, but never used. Prior to that it was owned by a Dr. Hanes of Kenton. My friend Eric, had bought it at a retirement auction. Dr. Hanes is now apparently in Toronto. His boat was featured in a painting by artist Terry McLean, and was presented to Dr. Hanes at his retirement. It apparently hangs in his living room today.

The only other thing I know about this boat is that it was built in September of 1974, was dismasted at one time, and by evidence of refurbishing the centerboard this fall, it appears that the cb uphaul had also had some attention in the past.

I'd love to know more about this boat.
