Actually, the Class number is the more important one. That is the number that would go on your sail, if you race. It is also the number you should use on the chart in the Technical Info section of this website. Going by that your boat would be a DS I built before 1972. (Mine is a 1965 and it is 1868, so I would guess yours is probably in 1971 or 1972.)
I'm told the Hull number is the total number of hulls O'day made of all types of boat (Rhodes 19, Widgon, Daysailer etc.) up to that time. The 4119 is the number of DS's made to that time.
