Can anyone tell me what the material/composite is that my blocks are made of ? an early daysailor #766 c.1961 or so. my friends chesapeake 32 built in 1958,hull # 1 has the same material. kind of reddish/brown with the look of fabric.

I think the material is call Tufnol. You can order new 'old' ones at rwrope.com
