Hello All,

How much paint does it take to do the interior of a DS1? One quart per coat?
I plan to include the cb trunk but leave the bench seats alone.

Also, does white cause too much glare when on the water?

Last thing, what is the name for the paint of the original light blue (sky?, powder?) color of the deck, cuddy and seats? There are places on deck where the gelcoat (?) has worn down to bare glass, so it needs just touch-up here and there.

I painted the complete interior of a Rhodes 19 including the seatsand shelves with one quart of interlux brightside. I used medium blue and it was very close to the Oday blue originally on it. This year I painted the topsides (deck) with the same color since it looked quite faded in comparison, another quart. As long as you prep the surface well - I wiped with acetone, sanded and took another acetone swipe, you don't need the primer. At least I didn't and its held up well. You will need to thin it out though and there I would suggest the brand thinner, I used acetone again. It works but not real well.

How many coats did you get on one quart?

I think 2 coats.
