Centerboard Handle

Postby Baysailer » Thu Feb 19, 2009 4:13 pm

Does anyone know if you can bend the handles back to shape and if so how. My centerboard handle is bent and I'd like to straighten it out but it looks like cast. I'd like a nice straight bar but still prefer a little bit of bend than half a handle.

They do have a slight bend. Is it worse than this ?

It's definitely not a stock bend on mine. I haven't looked at it real close but it looks like it was cranked on until it bent and twisted some. Works OK so it's really only cosmetic and at $140 for a new one it looks good now.
