Compatibility between ds 1 and ds 2

It appears that the rudder and tiller are the same and possibily the sails. How about the mast and boom and the center board?

The CB for the DS2 is different, it uses cables and not a lever.

Just make sure if you get a mast that you get the correct one (keel-stepped vs. tabernacle). That's not DS1 vs DS2 specific.

And mast and boom need to go together - I believe having read that there is some differences in gooseneck fittings over time. (Worst, you'd need a new fitting).

The DS2 mast is 6" shorter than the DS1 due to the raised floor in the cuddy. Accordingly, you can shorten a DS1 mast for use on a DS2.

My DS2 boom has no problems with my DS1 mast. The 6" difference Kerry mentioned does explain why the head of my sail does not go all the way up.
