I'm new to the forum and I hope it's the key to restoring my DS I (hull# 21231, sail# 3923). Was demasted on the Chesapeke bay 25 years ago. I need mast, sails and some rigging pieces (and lots of advice). I will post on WTB as well. I will be doing the tabernacle modification to ease raising the mast, so I can use the shorter tabernacle style mast. If I can get the pieces I need for the right price, I will be able to get this boat back on the water ! I will post pictures when I learn how. Fair winds for now, Paul, aka hotwheels.

D&R Marine has most of the parts for the Day Sailer. http://www.drmarine.com/categories.asp?cat=64 Cape Cod Shipbuilding is the current manufacturer of the Day Sailer. http://www.capecodshipbuilding.com/site ... sailer.pdf

As far as used parts, A DS2 mast will fit a DS1 and vice versa. My DS2 has the mast from a 1958 DS1 on it. Many parts are interchangable. Centerboards differ between the DS1 and DS2.

I am told a mast from a 505 will also work with a little modification. I haven't tried it yet, but on paper it looks good.
