Centerboard construction

I am trying to piece together a daysailer I. and the centerboard we got with it was damaged beyond repair. and buying a new one is far too expensive.

So, what's the best and easiest way to construct a new one? What materials and such.

and a slightly off topic question, but how is the boom set up?

D&R Marine sells new ones. Might list under parts wanted to see if anyone has a used one.

Your boom is probably set up with a Crosby rig.

Definitely not an undoable task, in fact I'm getting ready to lay one up now. There was a pretty good article with dimensions and methods laid out. If you can't find it let me know. I have a hard copy and will scan and email to you. Then we can make notes when we build them.

Yeah, i honestly really couldn't find anything. Most of the links i would click on lead to a "404 error".

If you are getting 404 errors in following links from this forum (other than links that lead to the outside web) then we would appreciate to know where you found them and where they are pointing to.

That said, I just fixed the first post in the thread called "Some Quarterly Articles"; most of the files for those links weren't transferred to the new server, so I linked them back to the backup copy on this server.
