I have done a lot of searching and can't find a picture of an assembled centerboard locking pawl that shows the orientation. My pawl locking surface is cut at an angle. It will catch better if the point is up. I want to assemble it correctly. This also effects whether the raised surface on the weighted end is toward the CB case or away. Does the assembly orientation matter? Thanks

If nobody beats me to an answer, I can look at my boat tomorrow.

Here's a picture of a DS1 centerboard handle with pawl.
Hope this gives you the necessary clues for assembly.

Thank you again Greenlake. Exactly what I needed. You can probably tell from my questions that I am working on a project. I had the boat off the trailer to work on the trailer. While the boat was on blocks I dropped the centerboard for inspection and forgot how the pawl went on.
