I noticed my gasket is leaking pretty badly. How hard is it to replace? Any tricks? I just spent the winter renovating my old boat 3176 but didn't do the gasket. thanks in advance

not hard at all. Gaskets in the proper size can be ordered from DR Marine. You support you CB from below (even on a trailer), remove the handle, swap the gasket and - if your CB hasn't moved - simply put the handle back in. Otherwise, you may need to fiddle a bit to get the proper alignment.

Thanks. I've ordered the gasket and will give it try. Boat is pretty well secured on a marine railway

Good luck!

(If you find the lever has play, you can try shimming the hole. A flattened bronze washer works well - same metallurgy so no galvanic corrosion)
