I have an ‘87 Precision DS1. These are indents located just in front of the CB trunk, and they’re about 3x4”. What are/were they? Thanks!

Just a guess. It looks to me at some time a owner was in the process of installing some type of auto bailers. Maybe Anderson bailers which used to be called Elvstrom bailers. The cut out which was very well done almost looks like it was done by Precision when the inner haul was molded. Precision does not build boats anymore but I understand they have a office in Sarasota Fl. where they sell parts for their boats. Find their phone number or web site and ask them.

Maybe someone else can shed more light on those cut outs?

John

I have a Precision built DS1 and those cutouts are for an auto bailer.

They were already installed in my boat.

I really am not that crazy about them as they leak some. I would not install them if I had a choice.

Man, I was really hoping those indentations were juice box holders for when you've got kiddies in the cuddy. Or someplace to put the remote control for the on-board TV set. Anyway, something more creative than auto-bailers, I'm disappointed. :(
