Front Drain Plug

Postby Guest » Mon Dec 29, 2003 1:51 pm

I have a 83 Spindrift and wondered what the front drain plug was for. Water does not run out the drain. Is it a drain plug?. It has a back drain plug.

I have seen a fron t drain plug a number of years ago on a Topper. I think it was just a way of draining the inner hull more efficiently if water did get in there. The other thing is that there may be two air chambers; one in the front the other in the back. If you really want to test this, sometime when it is warm and you have nothing better to do, prop the fron to the boat up, and with both drains open run water from your garden hose into the front drain as see if it drains out the back. Then at least you will know the plugs are to a common chamber.
