Replacement Trailer Lights

Postby Sean McGuire » Fri Mar 23, 2007 11:18 am

I am going to replace my trailer lights soon and was wondering if some of you other trailer sailers had any suggested brands or designs, or any to avoid. I re-wired the trailer from the hitch to the fixtures last year, but the lights themselves are still old and due for replacement. Are the LED lights worth the extra money? The trailer is an EZ-Loader Sprint if that makes any difference.

Thanks,

P.S. - I am taking her out this weekend since the winds are 5-10 with temps in the 70-80's. Just thought I could make you northern folks jealous. :D

You're making me jealous. Stop it. Now.

I might be going with a friend today on his J24, depending on wind, weather and other things, so all is not lost. But the water temps are too cold to risk the DS right now.

Trailer lights - I replaced everything last year, and just bought the standard lights (everything at West Marine.) If I did it over, I'd go with the LED lights. Brighter is better for visibility on the road. I also put on several more of those reflective stickers.
