jumper struts

What are the pro's and con's about removing my struts to creat a bendy mast? can I race with it removed? Will it inprove performance?

There is no danger in removing the jumpers. My impression upon removing mine was I did not get
the acceleration I was used to in the puffs. I guess
the general feeling is a bendy spar is more adjustable
and will depower automatically in the higher wind
ranges when you definitely want to sale flatter. I'm
not the least bit worried about breaking the spar, if
that's your concern
