rudder cheek schematics/ replacement

Postby Jlittle » Sat Sep 01, 2007 9:00 pm

I just bought an '82 rebel made, spindrift labeled, DS1 that is missing its rudder/ cheek/ tiller assembly. Where can I get schematics for making new cheeks? I found the rudder design in the class rules and the tiller shouldn't be too tough to figure out, but any help there would be appreciated as well.

thanks for having this forum, it has already saved me hours of figuring out how to repair the centerboard and repaint.

Under Daysailer assoication in the drop down menus above, select HANDBOOK. Click on Part 3 specs and measures and scroll down to drawing 6.4 for specs of the rudderhead.

Here's an article on building a rudder head.

thanks bob and roger. These two are exactly what I need to remake the missing rudder/ cheek/ tiller assembly. Is the tiller really only 1" wide?
