The lead is certainly the most elegant solution. Nice to have such a dense metal available. Maybe I'll ask my local machine shop if they have any in convenient sizes.

The last thing to ponder is...how much is enough? If we assume that I want to simulate the experience of sailing with 3 people you'd have me at 205ish pounds, lets say another of me is either 175-200lbs. The average woman maybe 130lbs.

150lbs gets you just over one average sized woman. You'd need just over 300lbs to simulate 3 people and that's probably too much, especially on the occasions that you actually HAVE 3 people. I think maybe 200 lbs though might do it.

Plus my boat will be a lot less weighty this year because I ordered the Spirit 1.0 from ePropulsion!!! Goodbye gas, we ain't friends.
