Built my jib furler today

Built this jib furler for my DS II. http://faculty.augie.edu/~swart/CP-16/R ... urler.html
Made a couple of modifications. I was lucky enough to find some 1/8 id X .625 od roller bearings at our hardware store. Bought 3 for $4 a piece. They fit inside the end plugs after a little sanding. So I installed a bearing in the bottom of the drum (at the plug), at the top of the drum (inside the 1/2 pipe that's glues to the female adapter) and at the head (in the plug). The furler spins with ease. Total cost of furler is less than $20. Can't wait to try it out on the water, but it works great in the driveway.
Nothing hard about building this but a Dremel tool makes it easier. :D
Cycling and sailing: Both are relaxing, healthy, and the gas mileage is infinity.

Thinking of building one for my 18USYacht. How do you attach the rig to the headstay. A noobie question to be sure, but how does the existing stay revolve-it seems you'd have to hook some type of swivel at the mast head and at the tack point. Am I right? If so what type of swivel would work?

Fair winds to you.
Thanks
