is that marine plywood? Is the edge of the plywood at the top exposed to weather?

Red Ron,

Beautiful job! The finish is beautiful! Makes me wish I could have doors on my DS1, although I'm not willing to give up my easy access to below the cuddy.

Great job!

Hi Phill

It’s not marine plywood , but is protected with several coats of a good spar varnish. Only the hatch boards are made of oak plywood the other pieces are solid oak, with a light coat of varnish every spring I think it will last many years.
If the hatch boards don’t last’ It wouldn’t be hard to use them as a pattern and make a new set with a more weather resistant material.
