I have a Daysailer II...Sail # 7978 am happy to say that hull is in very good shape ! Only a small separation where top meets (beautiful) dark green hull. I did however toppled the mast after a shrould broke. Mast broke at the Step-hinge..got the damaged 1/2" or so of mast sawed off at a machine shop and found a replacement step-hinge at Dwyer Mast Co. (nice folks)..I found them on the web but can't remember E-mail address. Anyway if you find yourself needing a mast or fittings, there phone # is (203) 484-0419 Also my mast type is a DM-284 and yours probably is too...Good Luck !!!

Dwyer's page is at http://www.csiworld.com/dwyer/dwyer.htm.

I bent my step-hinges way the heck out of shape last summer while trying to step the mast by myself. I had to pound them back into shape with a hammer, which took quite a long time. But now they're almost straight again and look to be just as strong. (:

Some work on Anhinga this spring and she'll be looking good as new, I hope.

I mashed the step hinge when the forestay broke under sail. Fortunatly my brother had the good sense to quickly brace the mast with the jib halyard by fastening it to the clip where the tack of the jib goes. A good short term fix. Happily we were near the mooring.
