Just came came across this Epoxy Text. It's a bit older, and the guy who posted it stopped follow-up after the first full year, but I think there's still interesting info there.
A couple of notes that will make more sense after you've looked at the link:
One of the epoxies tested is System Three, but I believe he tested their general purpose epoxy - I think he must have run the test just before they introduced their laminating epoxy and their ClearCoat product. The former, which I have used, does improve on wetting out cloth while the latter is formulated for coating wood.
Like he mentions, I've always used vinegar for cleaning uncured epoxy - it's really effective but just don't let any splashes or droplets hit a surface on a work piece that you've coated - it will deactivate the epoxy and create a milky spot.[/url]
