Anyone use bearing buddies for their trailer wheels?

Postby zeroready » Thu Jul 29, 2021 2:14 pm

I finally got a pair after having to change the bearings out 3 times. I used the ID of the hub to size the BBs and with my digital micrometer it measured exactly 1.968 so I ordered the corresponding BBs. I just tried to put them in and the OD of the BB is also exactly 1.968 inches, so it just slides right into the hub without any effort, and of course comes out just as easily. I tried calling but they're in Puerto Rico, no one answered and the message was in Spanish. So I emailed and while waiting for a response just wanted to see if anyone has my same sized hub or a similar issue.

I've used threadlocker (green) to good effect in a case of a very slightly loose fit.

I also had them send me a custom machined once, which got delivered promptly (i.e. in a reasonable time, not Amazon's time warp where they deliver before you click "submit" :) ).

Well they actually emailed me back pretty quickly and said to just return them and they'll size me up. So I'll try that I guess, thanks though!
