I saw this thread and thought I would respond. I use a 1960's Evinrude Lightwin 3 with integral tank. It works great and is especially nice for mooring at tight or busy docks.
I use a rubber/metal clamp guard which reduces vibration and I wouldn't leave home without it.
I moved it from my old wooden sailboat of 30 years (on Lake Michigan).
