DS1 deck/floorboards

Postby Guest » Sat Jul 12, 2003 7:13 pm

Is the deck on O'day DS1 cored with plywood or other material or is it solid glass? I looked at an early DS1 today and there seemed to be a lot of "give" in the deck forward of the cuddy (I do weigh over 200lbs though) Should I do the glassed-in half-round foam and be reinforce, or just let it be?

Also, does anyone sell full-size patterns for the floorboards, or have a set they could make patterns from?

Thanks,
Russ B

I have a 3 digit DS1 and also had a bouncy cuddy deck. Had some good success reinforcing it. Read the process on this site under "Repairs and Improvement", click on "Cuddy Roof."

I've been very happy with the results. Let me know if you have any questions.
