Mast stepping

Postby Rutherford » Thu Jul 19, 2007 9:26 pm

I saw a picture with a mast that seemed to be stepped above the cuddy with a plate of some type. My biggest problem with using our DaySailer is the challenge of getting the mast stepped without good crew help. I have a nerve disorder that has reduced my reflexes and dancing on the cuddy is not a 'pretty event'. Does anyone know an alternative or where I could get it for our boat.

I own a 1976 Day Sailer, fully equipped, with a new trailer. The boat is in excellent condition, with 2 sets of sails and a spinaker with all needed gear. I've moved up to a Bay keel boat and need to sell this one. selling price $22,950 / BO

What you're looking for is called a tabernacle. Just do a search on these forums and you'll see a lot of posts on them. Here's where you buy it.
