Depending on what's missing this could be an expensive and time-consuming project. If the gelcoat looks really bad you should check for structural integrity before you put any time into it. From your brief description it's difficult to point you in any direction. However, there is a lot of information archived here that you can read. Also, there are many photos in the gallery section that you can look at to get an idea of missing hardware.

A DaySailer 2 in good/excellent condition with a trailer and sometimes with a motor can often be had for less than $2000. It would take some serious looking but that would likely take less time and money than restoring a basket case.

no cracks, only spider cracks. i think it just needs cleats, eyes for the mast cables, little things and a sail. lots of cleaning. i wish i had a pressure washer. will check the pictures. thanks.

A good place for DaySailer specific parts is D&R Marine. http://www.drmarine.com/categories.asp?cat=64 If you are looking for an OEM grade of the sail you might look at Intensity Sails http://www.intensitysails.com/gesaforda.html . If you are thinking about upgrade performance parts or basically "anything sailing" for the dinghy sailor, APS is a good source http://www.apsltd.com/ .

Have fun, these are great boats!
