Hello all,

I just purchased a pair of used (appear to be in great condition) Holt-Allen jib cars *see thumb*. I was wondering how many out there are using these (if any) and wanted to get an idea of good placement for them on the hull. I have heard form the folks at D&R Marine to move them back a little on the DS II. Any other advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

BTW - won these on an ebay auction for $41.00 shipping included (they list on the Holt Allen site new for $275.00)

The choice of location depends to some degree on your sail. My sailmaker had definite instructions on where to best position the jib car to get the most out of his jib, and those instructions were at some slight difference from other oft-repeated suggestions.
