We just bought a new used 15 foot daysailer and need a jib. How do we go about finding the right kind and putting it onto the boat. Any good and/or special sailing techniques would be appreciated.

This site is for the Day Sailer Class boat (16'9"). For your boat determine the "Class" and/or manufacture of the boat. Determine if a jib was designed for the boat, some are "cat-rigged" (just main sail). A good source for used sails is the Class association web site, racers often sell good, but not competitive sails at a reasonable price. If your Class is not represented, a jib from a similar boat may work. Measure the length of your forestay and the distance from the forestay to the mast, these measurements will help determine the size needed. You may try the "for sale" pages for the Capri 14, 505, 470, 420, FJ, Lido 14, Snipe, Laser II, a good list of Classes is:
