Can someone provide the dimension from deck to the spin pole fitting on mast and topping lift hoist bock?

Thank you,

The class rules allow two positions - found in the bylaws chapter 3 on the main DSA site: https://daysailer.org

I'll look for the dimensions for the hoist (I was sure we had this here on the forum in a recent discussion, but I can take a measurement).

Yeah, like, I've been walking past the boat dozens of times and never remembered, and now that I'm sitting away from it at the computer .... will get to it.

OK. Here's the info. The topping lift fitting is at the level of the spreader brackets, pretty close to 116" from the bottom of a keel-stepped DS1 mast. (Couldn't get a super precise measurement with the covers on).

The ring on my boat is 58" from the bottom of the mast. Class rules allow a second position, but you'd need to look that one up. If you never race, and don't have a ring installed, an alternative would be to mount one on a short track; that way you could adjust so the pole is level.

But, it would make the boat not class legal, just in case you do intend to race in class-sanctioned events or sell to someone who does.
