dacron vs. nylon

Can someone tell me how to determine whether my sails are made of dacron or nylon?

Main and jibs (at least in our class are made of dacron) when compared to nylon it is heavy and stiff and made to hold their shape. Spinnakers are made of nylon, a very light, soft material
