Great Success! (with photos...)

Ok folks, I've wrapped up the aft seat trolling motor plug project and (not to jinx it) but it actually worked!

I've uploaded my series of photos to show the steps I took. Most of the steps are documented with photos, and the captions narrate my steps, but overall it was a 5-6 day project allowing for teak oil curing and glue (3M 5200 UV) drying time. Actual work time was not that long, but tedious due to precision needed, inaccessability to areas and of course numerous times crawling into the cabin... Also, make sure your wire gauge fits the adapter before buying 20 feet of it. i.e. the plug adaptor i got from Minn Kota made my Marinco works with 8 gauge. Six is too thick and you'll have to either adapt it or rig it to work - not a risk i was willing to take on something sealed inside the seat of my boat. Otherwise, have patience. This has surely been an exercise in pushing my own patience level, being a very instant-gratification person.

That being said, it was a lot of fun and I cannot wait to get this in the water to test it out this weekend. No more trying to sail into the dock only to have dropped the sails too soon to actually reach the dock for this guy. Hope you enjoy the pics.
