19' O'Day Daysailer, what do you know about it?

Postby Guest » Fri Jun 18, 1999 12:00 am

I'm going to look at a 1960's O'Day 19' Day Sailer. I'm familiar with the 16' ones, but have never
heard of nor seen a 19' one. Anyone out there that can tell me if they sail well, built well, or are worth $1,000 with trailer and good sails?

Probably a Rhodes 19 - a great boat that Oday built for years. There were both Keel and Centerboard versions.

It may be a Mariner, which uses the same hull as the Rhodes but has a lined cockpit and a small cabin with bunks. The Rhodes has only an open cuddy.
