hinged mast help

Postby Scott » Tue Oct 14, 2008 7:25 pm

I was wondering what stock length of DSII is as mine seems short . In order use the measurements in the handbook it seem about 1 foot short. Is it possible to weld a section on the top end to make it long enough to have the boom high enough so as not be hit in the head i believe this would work and cheaper than buying a new mast thanks Scott

I don't know what the stock length on the mast is but I think if I was going to add length to mine I would do it at the bottom, maybe put a longer piece below the hinge, or you could block it up under the mast step. You would have to reattach the side stays to a new spot on the mast but you wouldn't have a weld to worry about.
