I am trying to replace missing hardware on a DS II specifically hardware used to attach sails to the running rigging and the main sail to the boom. Is there a website where I can find replacement parts? I've looked at D and R Marine with no luck. Thanks for any assistance.

Hi morhua,

Can you be a bit more specific in what you are looking for?

Generally, any small shackle will do for attaching halyards to sails - there are many types to choose from, as well as a myriad of ways to attach said shackle to the halyard ... :D

The mainsail attaches to the boom via a boltrope run into a slot in the boom. Are you asking about outhaul options?

Other good sources for "small boat stuff" include, but are not limited to:

http://www.duckworksbbs.com

http://www.apsltd.com

http://www.sailrite.com (more for fabrics/etc. rather than hardware)

However, do not discount D&R marine. If you do not find what you need on their site, never hesitate to call them. Rudy is the "Daysailer Guru", and can probably answer any ??? you have ...

Duckworks has halyard shackles with the cross piece near the top at a reasonable price.
