Servicing CB Cables

I needed to replace the CB Cables on my DSII and, Hmmm - didn't want to de-trailer it in the driveway, rig the mast and haul it over BUT when I took my car in for an oil change I saw the auto-lift was the type with arms that adjust from each side under the vehicle ~ IDEA - took the boat in and backed it on the trailer to the lift arms on the trailer. I had him raise the 'arms' to just above the deck and then used 5/8 nylon dock lines to make slings fore & aft of the CB slot. With my trusty 1st mate in the boat with wrenches the boat was raised off the trailer - pulled it out, dropped it - marked where it rested with a pencil - bolt came out - cables replaced _ board shoved back to the pencil marks - bolt slid back through (well gunked-up with silicone) and we're sailin' again (yes, it's fine sailing weather here in San Diego).

Definately an interesting way to get it done.
