My parents had a house just opposite the peer in Wellfleet. There was a little fleet of Rhodes 19's and a cat boat just off the beach. That is, just around the bend from the end of the peer. There's plenty of tide to deal with in that harbor! With just the right conditions I've sailed the cat boat through the railroad bridge opening and down to Uncle Tim's bridge, but that doesn't happen very often. I never sailed my DaySailer in Wellfleet Harbor but it seems pretty ideal. I believe there's still a fleet of DaySailer's in Orleans. I think they do regular racing. That might be interesting for you.
Oh yes, and welcome to the DaySailer forum!
