If you guys are having to use you halyards to connect the rigging, mine is real loose. I just have to pull forward then flip the lever.

I should clarify that I'm really just using the jib halyard to hold the mast up while pinning the forestay/closing the lever. I'm not using any kind of additional purchase on the halyard other than it's swivel camcleat.

I arrived at my current rig tension (since getting the lever) pretty un-scientifically: I knew I wanted to use the top lever hole to get max aft rake, then just adjusted the shroud turnbuckles until the lever was "difficult" but not "impossible" to close. I've had the lever over three years and this arrangement seems to be working fine.
