Afternoon all! I just rejoined this great organization for the second time. A number of years ago I was a member of Fleet 116 out of Maine and had a very nice DS1 sail number 4499. Race prepared and had loads of fun sailing all summer for many years. My wife and i retired and moved to the sunny south. Long story short, could not take the heat and moved back to New Hampshire to settle on a beautiful lake. Yesterday I purchased a 1980 DSII that had been sitting in a barn very close to salt water. It has a very nice hull and today rejoined the DaySailer Club. I wish I had never sold my DS1 but that's history. Today begins the task of getting this DSII ready for sailing on the lake. All I need to do is find a new mast to replace the unsafe old corroded one. Remove the oxidation and replace salt corroded fittings. It's nice to be back!

Welcome back among the DS Sailors.
As your new boat is a DSII, I've moved your post to this section.
