Hi - perhaps one of the cables slipped down alongside the CB inside the trunk. I did a "resto-mod" on my CB to make a deepere "gutter" for the cable to ride in, and also put it inside a plastic tube (to make it bigger so it couldn't get stuck). Here's a photo album of the CB mods I did. NEXT time I have it out of the boat I'' swap the ss cable for dyneema (more flexible and easier to use), and I'll rig the up downhaul so it's in the front of the CB trunk and has a different rig to use it. The current rig makes about a 120 degree turn (over a turning block) and it is very tough to use (it just doesn't lead the way it should). Otherwise the CB set up is kind of sweet and some DSI owners make mods of the early CB lever so that it uses lines to put down / and back up. The idea is very good, execution just not as good as it could be.
