Leak from centerboard cable hole

Postby Guest » Wed Jun 18, 2003 2:19 pm

I have a DS2 and have had great fun sailing it. One question: in heavier weather, we get water coming in
to the cabin from the small hole that the centerboard cable comes through. It's enough to make
everything in there wet. Is there anything I can do about this?

Is there a sort-of "donut" shape bushing in the hole around the cable? If not, it may need to be replaced, I would think that D&R Marine has that part. I have had a 1979 DS II for 7 years and have never had water leaking in around either of the cb control lines. I have heard of this problem, but never had it.
