DSII vs. Javelin

I want to buy either a DSII or a Javelin. What are the main differences between these boats? I know the Javelin is smaller, but I hear the cockpit is unusually large for its size; can more people comfortably fit in the DS? also, is one easier to sail than the other for a beginner?
