It has been many years since my original Daysailer 1 and I don't remember whether the centerboard was exposed below the boat while on the trailer. My latest acquisition daysailer 3 has the centerboard showing a good 6 to 8 inches below the boat in the up position. Since I am unfamiliar with the block and tackle system for raising and lowering and I haven't had this boat in the water yet I would like to know whether there is a serious problem or if this really matters. Appreciate any help I can get.

How does the boat sit on the trailer if it's center board is down 6 " ?
Old post so probably moot , I have had some stivking problems with my board, anyone else? Bob

Now that we got that out of the way.

The centerboard is supposed to be flush with the hull in the raised position. On some DSs it can drop down and get in the way while launching or retrieving.

What's the CB mechnanism on your boat? Handle, cable?
