Well guess you won't have to shanghigh him then. Make a good impression on him so that he'll want a Day Sailer in the future.

Glad you wrote something up and plan to send it to the DS Quarterly after you add the pictures. Just over a week now before I head to the Texas coast for the Tx200.

Brooks is "retiring" as an editor, with no successor located. But you can still send her your piece - she will pass it on. I thought she did an outstanding job with the last quarterly, her "parting shot" as it was designed to be.

You'll either never get him on a boat again, or won't pry him loose.

My experience with that age bracket is that they tend to clamor for "more" in terms of wind and speed.

Let us know how it turned out and whether you've made a new convert!

Yes, I am aware that Brooks is no longer "officially" the editor, but is continuing on until the next editor is named. Who knows - might end up being yours truly? I need to talk to her first.

No sailing with Ilse's cousin today: the T-storms started at noon ... :-(
