The forum has moved!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
From DSA Vice President about the DaySailer Forum...
In a few days, we will move the DaySailer.org forum to a subdomain of the
Day Sailer Association’s new website. The transition means the
daysailer.org domain name will direct visitors to the home page of the new
site, and that the forum will be available at forum.daysailer.org/forum.
Please update any bookmarks. Old links will lead you to an error page on
the new website, from where you will be able to access the forum. (During
the transition the forum may be unavailable for a short period).
The new DSA website offers association management tools for leadership
located across the country. In addition, the new site offers the ability to
join online, including paying dues using most major cards. There’s even the
ability to donate to the Gottschalk Youth Fund, and the DSA Capital Fund -
which is used to maintain the one-design mold.
There are other benefits of the new site, including improved
communications. DSA member will received automatic renewal notices in
advance of the due date, as well as the latest in regatta information, even
some favorite articles from the DS quarterly. Members can also contact each
other via the website privately, or share information on the site’s other
communication tools.
As part of the transition, the forum is now managed by Greenlake, a fellow
DS member who has served most recently as forum moderator. Please work with
him as he works to make it easier for first-time users to access and use
the site more regularly. He may even contact you for consideration of
membership in the Day Sailer Association.
Any organization is only as strong as its members and I hope that these
improvements will enable the DS Association to grow its membership, build
relationships between members, and foster a love of sailing and racing our
beloved Day Sailers. I thank you for your forum participation, keeping it
active and vibrant, and hope you will continue to support the association
as we move forward.
Here's to a great 2015!
Molly Flanagan
DSA Executive Vice President & Web Administrator
P.S. If you have any recommendations for improvements – association, forum
or website related – please email either me or Greenlake directly.
The forum has been moved successfully. It now resides at http://forum.daysailer.org/forum.
The new DaySailer Association (DSA) membership website "Daysailer.org" will serve the http://daysailer.org address and will link to this forum for its discussion function.
Note, if you are, or would like to be a DSA member, you can sign up with a user name and password on the daysailer.org site, for example, to fill out a membership application or to renew your membership online.
For the forum, because the software platforms are separate, you will need a separate registration (or simply keep the one you have now). While you can certainly use the same username and password for both, any changes will only apply to either this forum or the DSA website. We hope you will excuse this small inconvenience.
While you are at it, please check out the new website at http://daysailer.org
