Calling all lurkers

Noticed a definite and sustained uptick in active "guest" visits over the last year. We are seeing a relatively high number of visitors in our monthly statistics, even for months in which there have been rather few active discussions here.

Could this be due to an increase in interest in small boat sailing? Or is it just bots?

So, if you have been lurking here, reading the forum without commenting, we invite you to register / login and post something. If you don't (yet) own a DaySailer, place your post in "Miscellaneous" and tell us about your interest in sailing.

Yes! Please register and post your questions or comments!

I registered less than 2 months ago, right at the end of the sailing season apparently. I look forward to reading new content!

This needs a "like" button . . .

Not it! I registered last fall. Ever grateful for the learning I'm getting, and the feedback from more knowledgeable old salts.

The two of you replying so far have 17 posts between you since joining. So, you would be part of the active cohort. My question: do you sign in when visiting each time, or only when you want to post?

The way the forum counts "guests" includes any visit without login, even if you're registered. I'm trying to get a sense of whether we have members here who lurk silently, even though they are registered, or just a lot of random foot traffic off the internet.

I check for new posts two or three times a day, but I don't normally log in unless I've got something to post.

I know the site shows when some posts are unread, but I thought that only worked if you were logged in.

I've been lurking for a while but have joined. Never would of figured out the CB without your posts! I just purchased a 78 DS II and have been working on replacing items within my ability. Rudy has been very helpful. Self bailer doesn't bail and I HOPE is the source of water entering the bilge because I don't see it leaking out from any other point. Thanks to all for sharing your expertise. fyi--I am on a "Green Lake" too.

There's a Green Lake in every state, it's a name like "Springfield". :)

Hello all,
I've recently purchased a 1981 Spindrift DS1 for me and my family. I am very glad to have found this resource to learn more about this nice little sailboat. Thank you in advance for responding to any of my questions. I'm sure I'll have more than a few. Joe

Updating my post from January 2019: I visit the site several times a day to check for new posts, but I don't log in unless I want to post something or look at photos.
