First Cruise of 2018 - Montreal

Postby fatjackdurham » Mon Jun 18, 2018 3:43 pm

I towed Caribbean Dream up to Montreal to go sailing with a Russian friend who is stuck there with visa issues. It was on a part of the St. Lawrence River, south of the Isle of Montreal, called Lac-St-Louis. Beautiful day, wind was light at about 5 mph. But the sailing was smooth up until the afternoon, when the wind starting changing, dying, gusting. Made it hard to coax our way back. But, the day was wonderful. We sailed across to the south side, to the St. Bernard Wildlife Refuge, went ashore for a bit. Saw two big tankers steaming up the St. Lawrence Seaway for the Great Lakes. Elena got a bad burn on her legs....

Aaah! Nothing better than a lovely lady on a lovely boat. Great picture!! You seem to have realized an ultimate fantasy of mine. Russian women are so beautiful! You are very lucky. John
