I will show you how to handle weeds when we get you on Surprise. I take the boat out with the keel up. I would raise the rudder too if she had a kick up. When I get to deep, non weedy water I remove weeds from the rudder with a boat hook the back the boat up to slough off weeds on the keel. Then I drp the keel and hoist the sails.
Same thing when I bring her back to the slip. Keel up

On Truelove I do not have a weed problem, but it is very shallow at her berth. I have to have the cb and rudder up when entering or leaving
