What happened to fleet 24? Did anyone on here belong to it before it disapeared - if it exists someplace can someone tell me where?

Back in the early 80's Fleet 24 was at Cowan Lake. Check with some of the old timers at the Cowan Lake Sailing Association (CLSA).

I am orginally from Springdale, Ohio and when we where back there in the 80's there was six or eight Day Sailers in the water when we visited the club.

I was out at Cowan Lake just two weeks ago!

I'll have to check in with the people I see next time I'm out there, which will probably be the weekend the observatory has their campout. So, we'll do a little sailing during the day and a little star gazing at night - doesn't sound too bad!

This thread is a few years old. Is there any news about the Cincinnati fleet? Does it exist?

as far as I know there isn't a fleet in Cincinnati anymore. I'm keeping my boat at Hueston Woods this summer and don't make it over to Cowen very much. Ironically, the last time I was out at Hueston woods there were three boats at the dock at the same time, all lined up in order - me, a DS I, then a DS II and last a DS III. I've never seen a DS on either lake other than that day.

I found DS hull number 8373 at the GoodWill Auction 2 weeks ago. I had the winning bid and the boat is now in my garage on McCauly Court in Sharonville. So I claim Fleet 24 now active.
