I llive in Midland Tx. I bought a lake place on Canyon about 5 years ago and have been working on it. I have two sail boats macgregor 26s 1991 and a O'Day daysailerII 1981. I have sailed the 26 on canyon but my DSII has been in storage I'm going to haul it down soon and sail it.

I am working on getting me a storage built for my boats befor I bring the down I hope to be sailing soon.

Maybe we can get together soon on the lake. I love it down there.

Salty Dog,
Give us a heads up next time you plan to be on Canyon Lake. Which launch ramp is your place closest to? I dry sail my boat out of the Lake Canyon Yacht Club on the North side of the lake near the dam. Storage at LCYC is the best deal on the lake. Leave your rig up, private ramp, great facilities.

My place is close to Startzville. the closes marina is Cranes Mill. The closes public ramp that is open is Tom creek. I used to have friends @ LCYC Gene ant Jo Ann Shultz. I'll let you Know when I head that way with my boat. I'm on a job right now that may last another 2 weeks.

thanks Calvin

Ramp 17 is the ramp closest to LCYC. That is the one I have been launching from. No fee. It's just north of LCYC. Kleanbore is right about the facilities at LCYC being great. I've been there a couple times for the Wurstfest Regatta and a messabout last spring.
