I was not betting in favor of weather, just temperature

There is an old saying in Florida though... "If you don't like the weather, wait 20 minutes..."

In Texas we have nearly the same saying except it is "wait a few minutes". Of course during the summer we can pretty much depend on hot, hotter, and sometimes really hot and humid together.

Pretty much the same here, except is is always humid. In the peak of summer, we have really hot, burning hot, and heat stroke, lol. It is nearly a must to periodically submerge one's self in water if outside that time of year

We bought this bounce house water slide thing for the kids this summer. It ended up being a cool down spot during yard work breaks, of course accompanied by an ice cold beer.



And yes... It holds adults just fine

We call it "Africa Hot" around here, and if we had one of those things, we wouldn't get any yard work done at all! ;-P

Had a great time sailing in Palatka today. We made is late, but was a beautiful day on the river to be sailing. Corky Bell's was great, and it was nice to meet up with fellow sailors of the DS Association and WCTSS. Look forward to doing it again and actually making on time so we can hang out longer (had to do emergency trailer repair at the house that put us behind schedule). We did manage to get a few pictures of us dorking out on the boat, but they are on my wife's phone. Will try and post later

Great to see you guys there DM! No worries - everybody was kinda "off schedule" yesterday. Most of the folks you saw leaving CB's as you were arriving got tired of the gusty, shifty winds and left earlier than later. Lou and I stayed over again last night, hoping to sail again today, but it was dead flat calm this AM, so we both left by 10 ...

If you ever wanted to share in full Technicolor, one way to do that would be to set up an album on a photo sharing site and post a link. However, thanks for taking the effort and making smaller images. Being smaller in dimension, they work well in the forum, and being smaller in storage size means that they take up less storage/bandwidth - both of which the DSA has to pay for (at retail, not whole-sale like the photo sites). So, I think, it's a win-win, and we can get back to enjoying your pictures (and those of us who have not started their season yet can feel a little envious )
